On The Ropes

Summary

Hannag asked us to seek out her apprentice, Gwydian. Last she heard, he was at his parents' house in the Blackpits area - now she's concerned for his safety.

Walkthrough

  1. Hannag apprentice, Gwydian, can be found at blackpits. However, when you reach his house you find his family being executed.
  2. You can choose to stop the execution or watch.
  3. Pass a gate protected by magisters.
    • If Reimond also sent you to the Blackpits during The Law of the Order quest, you can pass the gate without having to fight them. 
    • Another way could be through a basement. You can get the key for it when you talk to the women further left of these magisters.
  4. In the next area, you will find the white magisters hanging Gwydian. Setting him free will make the magisters hostile.
    • During the fight, a bunch of oil Voidlings will show up and cover everything in oil. Fire does a lot o damage to them but will cause everything to burn.
    • A few turns in, Fire Voidlings will show up and set everything on necro fire. Use Hydro spells to kill them quickly.
  5. After the fight: Report back to Hannag and increase your source.

Tips & Trick

  • Don't use Rain on the necro fire. It will give your party members a debuff that they get damaged from healing spells.
  • You can also use Bless to turn the fire into holy fire (healing) or necro fire into the normal fire if things get too hot.
