Chapter 1 - The Merryweather
Lucian the Divine - champion of the Seven Gods, and saviour of Rivellon - is dead. He sacrificed himself to defeat the forces of the Void, leaving his son, Alexandar, to preside over the next chapter of Rivellon’s history. But Lucian’s sacrifice did not buy peace - instead, the years that followed were plagued by the menace of Voidwoken. These beasts were drawn to Source magic, and left death and destruction in their wake.
Incapable of wielding the Divine powers that his father had at his disposal, Alexandar has resorted to harsher measures in order to stop the Voidwoken. A great pogrom has commenced against Sourcerers - those who show the most skill in the manipulation of Source. Encouraged by his most trusted advisor, Dallis, Alexandar has decreed that all Sourcerers must be resettled in isolated colonies, where they cannot pose a threat to the rest of Rivellon.
One such colony is the ancient island stronghold of Fort Joy. It is to this place that I, a captive Sourcerer, am being sent.
Chapter 2 -Fort Joy
1. Fort Joy Start
Something was amiss on the transport ship that carried me to Fort Joy. A Sourcerer transportee was found dead, and our Magister handlers were on edge. Eventually the killer was revealed - a Sourcerer witch who had seemingly lost her mind. She remarked that I was unique somehow - unique enough to warrant her killing me also. She summoned a huge waterborne Voidwoken that began to attack the ship and kill all onboard. I had to take my chances on the open sea.
On the verge of drowning, a strange vision came to me - a powerful presence, and an oddly familiar voice. It stated that it was not my time to die, for I still had a great task before me.
Now I awaken on the shores of Reaper's Eye, with Fort Joy looming ahead. It must have been blind luck that I survived, surely. Why would someone like me benefit from Divine intervention?
2. Fort Joy End
In Fort Joy, I learned that the Magisters were willing to do anything to stop the Voidwoken - even resorting to the use of horrifying ancient weaponry against anyone who opposed them. I had to escape.
Reaper's Eye proved to be rife with danger, but it also presented me with the most unlikely of allies - the gods themselves. As I tried to escape from the island, a vision of my god came to me. I was declared their champion - a Godwoken. It would fall to me to save the gods, and the world itself, from the forces of the Void. I had to master the powers within me in order to do this - the powers of Divinity. The vision ended, but I was imbued with a new power. What I was told must be true.
I escaped aboard a captured Magister flagship, the Lady Vengeance. With Reaper's Eye behind me, I could pursue the great mission that I had received.
Chapter 3 - I, the Godwoken
1. L V Start
I met a half-elf named Malady, whose destiny seems tied to my own somehow. She confirmed that I am indeed a Godwoken. I must leave the island with her in order to pursue my destiny.
2. L V Attack
At sea, we were attacked by Dallis, along with her Magister forces, and a mysterious acolyte named Vredeman. Facing annihilation, Malady instead transported both us and the Lady Vengeance into the Hall of Echoes itself.
3. L V Hoe
Within, I encountered the gods once more. They are losing their fight against the Void, and need the help of a new Divine - a successor to Lucian. As a Godwoken, I have the potential to rise to the occasion and become the next Divine.
If a new Divine does not rise, then the gods will fall and the entire world will be consumed by the Void.
Chapter 4 - Mastering the Source
I arrived at Reaper’s Coast, where I was to discover how to master my powers and unlock my full potential as a Godwoken. This would prove to be no mean feat - the Void’s presence was growing throughout the land, and the Divine Order was divided by the apparent death of Bishop Alexandar and the succession of Dallis.
Danger awaited me on all sides, but I had to press ahead - somewhere out there lay the means to gain true mastery over Source magic.
1. R C Mordus
I reached a new level of mastery over my Source powers, thanks to a craven undead dwarf named Mordus. I grow ever closer to fulfilling my destiny.
2. R C Saheila
I reached a new level of mastery over my Source powers, thanks to an elven scion named Saheila. I grow ever closer to fulfilling my destiny.
3. R C Hannag
I reached a new level of mastery over my Source powers, thanks to a Portal Master called Hannag. I grow ever closer to fulfilling my destiny.
4. R C Jahan
I reached a new level of mastery over my Source powers, thanks to a demonologist named Jahan. I grow ever closer to fulfilling my destiny.
5. R C Advocate
I reached a new level of mastery over my Source powers, thanks to a demonic entity known as the Advocate. I grow ever closer to fulfilling my destiny.
6. R C Ryker
I reached a new level of mastery over my Source powers, thanks to a Lone Wolf assassin called Ryker. I grow ever closer to fulfilling my destiny.
7. R C Almira
I reached a new level of mastery over my Source powers, thanks to a succubus named Almira. I grow ever closer to fulfilling my destiny.
8. R C End Success
I successfully developed my powers in preparation for claiming the mantle of Divinity. The way forward was now clear also - I was to journey to a place known as the Nameless Isle. There, the fabled Council of Seven stood. Within, I was to prove myself as the Godwoken who was most worthy to claim the powers of the Seven Gods and fight the Void in their name.
My journey thus far was more complicated than I had first imagined - the acquisition of true power has been a difficult task, rife with hard choices. It is no simple matter to be a champion, to be a hero. I have been successful so far, but have I been righteous also? The responsibility is great, and will only grow greater if I win the powers of the gods.
Perhaps becoming Divine is a fate not to be relished by all, but I persist for now - the fate of the world is at risk.
9. R C End Fail
I was tasked with developing my powers in preparation for claiming the mantle of Divinity. I failed at every turn. Now it has fallen to Malady to uncover the way forward. At great personal cost, she learned the location of the Nameless Isle. There, the fabled Council of Seven stood. Within, I was to prove myself as the Godwoken who was most worthy to claim the powers of the Seven Gods and fight the Void in their name.
My journey thus far was more complicated than I had first imagined - I could not make the difficult choices that were needed to develop my powers, and I feel that there will be dire consequences for this failure. If I failed here, then what hope do I have of bearing the responsibility that comes with the powers of the gods?
Perhaps becoming Divine is a fate not to be relished by all, but I persist for now - the fate of the world is at risk.
Chapter 5 - The Nameless Isle
1. C O S Start
I arrived at the Nameless Isle, where the powers of Divinity were said to be kept, within the Council of Seven. Even from the deck of the Lady Vengeance, it was clear that this would be no easy task: the island seemed to be consumed by fighting.
I had no choice but to venture forth onto the island, where fierce battles were unfolding for control of the Council of Seven, watched from above by a great volcanic peak that seemed on the verge of erupting.
2. C O S Academy
My journey into the heart of the Nameless Isle was fraught with danger - the forces of Void did everything in their power to prevent any Godwoken from ascending to grasp the powers of the gods. I could not not allow them to impede me however, and ultimately made my way into the first part of the Council - the Academy.
3. C O S Academy Sworn
My journey into the heart of the Nameless Isle was fraught with danger - the forces of Void did everything in their power to prevent any Godwoken from ascending to grasp the powers of the gods. Try as I did to resist them, I found myself sworn in a Covenant with their supreme overlord, the God King. I was now bound to him, but I continued on my original path nonetheless. Ultimately, I made my way into the first part of the Council - the Academy.
4. C O S End
I made it all this way to the wellspring of the Seven Gods’ power. It was supposed to be the moment where I ascended to become the next Divine, and would be empowered to save the world from the Void. Instead, everything lies in ruins. Dallis and Vredeman appeared and made off with the powers of the gods, while the gods themselves turned on me and demanded that I sacrifice myself so that they could survive. It was incredible to realise what craven, power-hungry tyrants I truly served. I had no choice but to fight them. It seemed that the end was near.
5. C O S End Sworn
I made it all this way to the wellspring of the Seven Gods’ power. It was supposed to be the moment where I fulfilled the God King’s bidding. Instead, everything lies in ruins. Dallis and Vredeman appeared and made off with the powers of the gods, while the gods themselves turned on me and demanded that I sacrifice myself so that they could survive. It was incredible to realise what craven, power-hungry tyrants they were - I seems that I was right to accept the Covenant. I fought the gods until Malady appeared aboard the Lady Vengeance and rescued me. The Council of Seven was lost. The Seven Gods were gone. The powers I needed were now in the hands of Dallis. All seemed lost.
6. C O S L V Start
Malady appeared aboard the Lady Vengeance and rescued me. Once more, we retreated into the Hall of Echoes. The Council of Seven was lost, our plans were in disarray, while our enemies seemed resurgent. Dallis had thwarted the ascension of a new Divine, while the God King and his legions grew stronger with every passing moment that they went unopposed.
The only hope was to track down Dallis, and claim back the powers of Divinity before it was too late to stop the God King. But why did Dallis seize the powers in the first place? Was she an agent of the Void? Did she think her actions were somehow righteous? Or was it a simple lust for power?
Only the Hammer herself could answer such questions. Malady believed that Dallis would likely make her way to Arx, where the remains of Lucian were interred. If she had plans for the powers of the Divine, then they likely involved the last person to wield them.
And so the Lady Vengeance cut a path through the Hall of Echoes, setting a course for Arx. I enjoyed the respite while I could, for I sensed that the end was drawing near.
7. C O S L V Start Sworn
Malady appeared aboard the Lady Vengeance and rescued me. Once more, we retreated into the Hall of Echoes. The Council of Seven was lost, our plans were in disarray, while Dallis had thwarted our efforts by purging the Wellspring.
I remained bound to the will of the God King, but perhaps if I could reclaim the powers from Dallis, I could still defeat him. But why did Dallis seize the powers in the first place? Was she a fellow agent of the Void? Did she think her actions were somehow righteous? Or was it a simple lust for power?

Chapter 6 - The Hunt for Dallis
1. A R X Start
The Lady Vengeance breached the land of the living once more, only to crash into the mountains outside of Arx. I was lucky to survive. Below, the holy city was in a state of upheaval - the Paladins of the Divine Order had risen up against the Magisters, believing that they were secretly allied with the Black Ring. Voidwoken attacks only served to add to the chaos in a city that was heaving with fearful pilgrims.
2. A R X Magister
I learned that Dallis and Vredeman indeed sought to access the Tomb of Lucian, and set off in pursuit. Whatever they intended to do, I had to stop them. So much still remained a mystery to me, but I felt that if I could confront Dallis, then I would finally have answers, and could put an end to all of this.
I am about to cross the final threshold, and meet my destiny.
3. A R X Magister Sworn
I learned that Dallis and Vredeman indeed sought to access the Tomb of Lucian, and set off in pursuit. Whatever they intended to do, I had to stop them. So much still remained a mystery to me, but I felt that if I could confront Dallis, then I would finally have answers.
I am about to cross the final threshold, bound to the God King. Both his destiny and my own will be decided by what comes next.
Chapter 7 - To be Divine
1. C R Y P T End Peace Braccus
I finally got the answers that I sought, but I almost wish I could have remained ignorant. What I have learned and the choice that is demanded of me is surely too much to place before anyone.
Lucian was alive all this time, conspiring with Dallis to tear down the Seven Gods. He saw them as corrupt tyrants, who brought misery to the world in their pursuit of power. No more, he decided.
He wanted to banish Source from this world. There would be no Gods, no God King, no Voidwoken - no magic at all. This is what was weakening the Seven. This is why Dallis persecuted Sourcerers. A necessary sacrifice, they felt.
Dallis used the resurrected Sourcerer King, Braccus Rex, in order to find the means to purge on such a massive scale. Disguised as ‘Vredeman’ and forced to do her bidding, he accepted the God King’s overtures before my very eyes and broke free from Dallis’ dominating powers.
A great battle ensued, but I ultimately prevailed. Now a choice must be made: do I seize the powers of Divinity for myself, or do I put my faith in Lucian’s plan for a new and better world?
2. C R Y P T End Fought Braccus

While Lucian Dallis used the resurrected Sourcerer King, Braccus Rex, in order to find the means to purge on such a massive scale. Disguised as ‘Vredeman’ and forced to do her bidding, he was tempted to ally himself to the God King in order to win freedom and power. Before he allowed the God King to take control of his body however, I persuaded him to stop. So strong was my will that not even the legendary mad Sourcerer king could resist me.
Now, it fell to me to settle the great matter - should I seize the powers of Divinity for myself, or should I put my faith in Lucian’s plan for a new and better world?
3. C R Y P T End Sworn
I finally got the answers that I sought.

The God King made his presence felt within me once again. I was to kill all who stood in my way: Lucian, Dallis, Braccus - everyone. I had to obey him. I had to fulfill the Covenant.
4. C R Y P T End Take Elected
With the final confrontation at an end, there remained only one decision to undertake - the fate of the powers of Divinity, and with them, the fate of the world.
The choice was clear to me - I came this far, and Divinity was mine to claim. My companions agreed, and I ascended.
5. C R Y P T End Take Fight
With the final confrontation at an end, there remained only one decision to undertake - the fate of the powers of Divinity, and with them, the fate of the world.
The choice was clear to me - I came this far, and Divinity was mine to claim. My companions disputed my claim, forcing me to fight them.
I prevailed nevertheless, and became the next Divine.
6. C R Y P T End Take Fail

The choice was clear to me - I came this far, and Divinity was mine to claim. My companions disputed my claim, forcing me to fight them.
After making it all this way, I was defeated by a fellow Godwoken, who then claimed the powers of Divinity and ascended.
7. C R Y P T End Take Sworn Won
The final confrontation ended with I, Sworn follower of the God King, emerging victorious. The world of the Seven usurpers will now end, as the God King has his prize at last.
8. C R Y P T End Take Sworn Refused
The final confrontation ended with I, Sworn follower of the God King, emerging triumphant. But instead of laying his victory at his feet, I tried to renege on the Covenant that I was bound to.
My attempt to betray the God King was futile - he seized my soul and cast me into nothingness.
9. C R Y P T End Take Sworn Fail
The final confrontation unfolded, with I, Sworn follower of the God King, fighting for his restoration. But I failed him, when he needed me the most. Whatever comes next, I will not be an architect of it.
10. C R Y P T End Take Pact Won
The final confront ended. I emerged victorious - but I had a pact to honour. Doctor Daeva, vessel of the arch-demon Adramahlikh, appeared and demanded what was promised to him. I consented, and entwined together, we claimed the powers of Divinity.
11. C R Y P T End Take Pact Refused
The final confrontation ended. I emerged victorious - but I had a pact to honour. Doctor Daeva, vessel of the arch-demon Adramahlikh, appeared and demanded what was promised to him. I attempted to deny him, but it was futile.
12. C R Y P T End Take Pact Fail
The final confrontation unfolded, but I failed. I had made a pact with Doctor Daeva, vessel of the arch-demon Adramahlikh, but now it seems that it will go unfulfilled. Outraged at the loss of all this power, the arch-demon drowned his sorrows by feasting upon my soul...
13. C R Y P T End Refuse
With the final confrontation at an end, there remained only one decision to undertake - the fate of the powers of Divinity, and with them, the fate of the world.
I decided that I wanted nothing to do with the ultimate prize of my adventures. I left it to another to decide what course of action to take.
